Sharing calendar in Office 2003 without Exchange

We have a small group of about six computers, all running Office 2003. We
would like to be able to share a common calendar, be able to edit it, and
have the other users be able to see it in near real time. The application
does not warrant the expense of purchasing and installing MS Exchange
server. Is there any way to do this without Exchange and on a budget?
