No. You can use Access and Sharepoint without InfoPath. My experience is
that Access is a better consumer of Sharepoint data than a provider of it. I
found, during the beta test of Office 2003 that the times for syncing up the
data from Access to Sharepoint were excruciatingly long. OTOH, if the data
came from Sharepoint, the times were slow but tollerable. Sharepoint had no
way to format that data, and of course, it isn't relational so I eventually
abandoned my testing. I do understand that there have been some improvements
since the tests were done 2 years ago.
