SharePoint Lists

I've just ventured into linking SharePoint lists and Document Libraries into
Outlook 2007. One question: How do I stop the document library from
downloading ALL the documents to Outlook? The library is very large, and some
files are 10's of MB in size. I only need specific documents but there
appears to be no way to stop this from happening.
Please advise.

The problem is all the configuration of what is to be downloaded is in
Outlook. I can turn off which lists are automatically updated, it's just
somewhere in Outlook there is a flag to determine whether I download the just
the headers or all the detail.
This is not configurable in SharePoint since the documents are being
downloaded to Outlook - hence the post.
