shared workbook

If we have a workbook on a network drive, and one person has it opened and
another person opens, it will open as read only and it can't be saved unless
it is renamed. Question: can this workbook be shared so it that two people
can open and make changes to the original without it being a read only?

tools>share workbook...>allow workbook to be shared....

read the help on "sharing workbook" because there are limitations and
"rules" that need to be followed
