I've got a laptop running XP Home SP2. It is normally used on a wired office
network, and has a number of files stored in the Shared Folder, to be
available to others in the office. I will be taking it on a trip next week,
connecting thru unsecured WiFi networks such as hotels. What's the best way
to temporarily block access to the Shared Folder, but still be able to
resume network access after I return to the office? Thanks for your help,
Judy

A very simple thing to do is to rename the shared file/folder. It is then,
inaccessible.
