Shared Drive mapping

We have a problem with some users on a network not having
the mapping to shared network folders set up correctly
after login. The login script successfully maps 4 shares
to G:, S:, U:, and X: for most users. In a few cases
this does not function correctly and some or all of the
drive mappings do not occur. Why?

Could this be something to do with priorities between the
login script and user profiles. We are using roaming
profiles and some users login both from a desltop and a
latop PC, which they can do simultaneously - multiple
logins enabled - if they wish?

Hi,

What happens if you manually map the drive for these
problem users ? Does it work or do you get an error
message ?

Have you checked the eventlogs (on workstation and
server) ?

Tim

Manual mapping works fine but is less than an acceptable
solution as some policies depend on the mapped drives and
the use of hyperlinks to files on the network becomes too
complicated for users unless the shared drives are mapped
consistently across all users.

Will try to get the event logs checked.

Thanks for your input.
