shared DB inaccessible

Hi,
I have a virtual domain running on Virtual Server 2005, which consists of a
DC, an Echange server and two XP Pro SP2 clients. I have installed BCM on one
of the XP clients (client1) and have shared the DB (using domain accounts).
On the other XP client (client2) i also installed BCM and i am trying to
connect to client1's DB. Everytime i try i get "the database is
inaccessible". I am able to ping client1 and UNC to it. Also note that on
client1 i installed SQL server Tools and have enabled protocols TCP/IP and
Named Pipes using svrnetcn.exe. This is the only was i could have gotten the
DB to show up in Enterprise Manager.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Nick

Figured it out, running svrnetcn.exe under TCP/IP properties i noticed the
port was set to 1433, i changed it to 56183 and all is good :)

i have SQL server running on 1433 port carrying SharePoint server. What
will happen with SharePoint if i'll change that port to 56183?
