Shared borders mangling graphics

I use shared borders in my site. The header and footer are both tables that
contain graphic elements. However when rendered in the browser (IE6), some
of the elements are distorted, lost or resized. I know that FP encloses the
header and the footer in a table (so in my case I have my table within FP's)
but I cannot figure out why what FP has added should mangle my content so
badly. Any ideas of the way forward?

We'd have to see it to figure out what mangled means to you :-)
Post the URL .
One thing is shared borders are of fixed size, that may be part of your prob.

Don't use absolute positioning in shared borders
