shared borders does not update when changed

my shared borders will not update on all pages when I make a change to it.
I end up with the index page being updated ok, but all the other pages
remain with the old unchanged shared border, unless I open each page
idividually.
As I have over 4,000 pages in my website, I really need the shared borders
to work automatically.

Any clues on this?

Try running Tools Site Setting Advanced and under temp file - Delete Files
Then open and resave you shared border pages and run a Tools Recalculate Hyperlinks
