Shared border hyperlink color

If you go to my web site at 65.61.17.133, you'll see that the hyperlinks on
the LEFT shared border won't stay RED.

How can I force them to stay the color I want even after the user has
clicked?

I have set the PAGE PROPERTIES, but still they turn grey.

Select each link, font, font color, select Automatic (default) as color,
click Apply, then without closing the dialog, select the color that you
want, then click Apply.
