Share violation

I have suddenly started to receive share violation errors when opening Excel
files from mapped network drives (only on one PC). Everytime the user tries
to save a file a message stating the file cannot be saved because of a
sharing violation appears.

The problem is identified in the following article
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/328170. This shows there is a
hotfix for this but to access the fix you have to contact microsoft support
directly. Microsoft support suggests I will have to pay £69 for the fix!! Can
anyone direct me to the link without having to pay Microsoft this fee?? Or
suggest a fix for the problem.

Thanks

I think I have solved my problem by allowing the user to delete files on the
mapped drive. This is due to Excel not being able to save files unless it can
first delete the old file. However surely there is a better way to get around
this as i may not want certain users to have the ability to delete files.
