Share/NTFS Permissions Combined

Quick question on Share and NTFS Permissions:

Share--->Folder

Share Has Group 1 with Change and Group 2 with Read for
share permissions.

Folder has the same permissions for NTFS.

User X is in Both Group 1 and 2.

I know that when you combine share and NTFS the most
restrictive wins. If I also recall NTFS permissions are
cummalative. So I am not quite sure what permissions User
X has to Folder. I am hoping Read....

It would be change [though there is no "change" ntfs permission - modify maybe]. A
user is granted the most permissive based on his group membership for either ntfs or
share [except any explicit deny trumps any allow] and then as you said the most
restrictive of the two applies ONLY when accessing through a share. --- Steve
