"Shaking" display

Every time I insert/eject a CD or a USB stick, my display "shakes"
relatively violently for a second or so.

Should I be worried?

Any ideas about the causes and how to rectify the situation?

Thank you.

Loose / failing connection, cable or card - ensure all internals are firmly
seated.
Possibly vid driver - see vid manu site for updates, not winupdate.

Thanks for your reply.

I'm not sure about the loose connection possibility, because it happens
for different devices, i.e. CD drive, DVD writer, all USB ports.

As for the graphics driver, I don't really want to mess with it because
I have to use an older driver version for my Matrox dual head graphics
card in order to get one of my main programs to run properly.

Any more suggestions?

Or perhaps I just have to live with the "shaking display"?
