sfc / scannow

it says it will reinstall the systemfiles. what are the systemfiles is it
*.dll files.......
also wondering when is it recommendet to use this code

System files as in all programs to run xp,the program can be run at any time,
if xp becomes corrupt,run it,not a bad idea to run every few weeks.
