sfc, and Norton vs Windows protection

Can any one tell me whether Norton SystemWorks/Firewall's file protection is
likely to be overriding Windows' File Protection (and thus the functioning of
sfc). (I vaguely recall Norton's setup asking me to let it take over Windows
roles, or someting.) I fear I may have corrupt files, but sfc /scannow gives
me no report log of what it's done, so I don't even know if it's working!
I've heard of sfclog.txt, but how do you instigate it?

(See other related posts.) I'm answering myself, not becaouse I'm mad, but
to clear up this post, and also so that no one else wastes any unnecessary
time answering it. So here goes...

Norton say it is, but I don't think it does interfere with Windows system
utilities, just everybody else's.

Yes you have

Mooch about in the system's .log files, or the event viewer.

Who knows!

Thank me. I'm welcome.
