Setup Error message

I am trying to download the patch to protect my computer from being constantly reinfected with the Lovsan virus - blaster worm which keeps shutting my computer down wonce I get on the internet. When I try to download the patch I recieve an erro message as follows: KB824146 Setup Error Setup could not verify the integrityo f this file Update.inf. Make sure the crytographic service is running on this computer. Could some one please assist me with this problem? Thank you, Sincerely Irene

Hi Irene,

Open Windows Explorer to C:\Windows\system32, right-click/rename the
catroot2 folder to catold. Then retry the update installation. When
finished, there will be a new catroot2 folder and you can safely delete the
old renamed one.

Incidentally, if you enable the native firewall, the but will not reinfect
your machine while you are trying to download the update.
