Setting W32time Synchronization Frequency

Under Win2000 there was a fairly straightforward to set the time
synchronization frequency/period using the W32tm utility.

W32tm has changed radically under XP. It's arguments are far more
complicated. As far as I can tell with the addition of these mind
blowing complexities it's ability to set the synchronization
frequency/period has been dropped/eliminated.

So, how does one set the period now?

I hope editing the registry isn't the only answer, but if it is can
someone point me to a page that explains the procedure in simple ABC
steps?

There free third party utilities that can be set to sync up the time. I
have had success with Nettime.

Thanks for your reply.

I may be wrong, but I assume there's less overhead with the Windows
built in function.

Regedit.exe
Open to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System
\CurrentControlSet\Services\W32Time\TimeProviders\NtpClient

And in the right pane d-click and adjust the value of
SpecialPollInterval
