setting up yahoo account

call me crazy, but i can't get my yahoo account to work in
outlook...any suggestions?

my bellsouth account works fine...

this is what i have setup for the yahoo account...
incoming mail server: POP3
incoming mail: mail.yahoo.com
outgoing mail: mail.yahoo.com

and it says "the connection to the server has failed..."
what am i doing wrong?

mail.yahoo.com is their website for their *webmail* interface. That's where you navigate to in your browser. You go to http://mail.yahoo.com to use a browser to use their web interface.

Call your ISP since they should know the correct IP names for their contracted Yahoo e-mail services. The instructions at http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/pop/index.html might help but they are for when you have purchased POP3/SMTP access from Yahoo. I don't know if you are supposed to use the same settings. If so, you are NOT using the correct IP names for Yahoo's mail servers. Go to the link to read the instructions on entering the correct values. Hint: You only have part of the domain specified in your description above.
