setting up windows mail

I've entered the pop info for gmail but im getting this error:
Account: 'pop.gmail.com', Server: 'pop.gmail.com', Protocol: POP3, Server
Response: '-ERR not supported c40pf5502184anc.40', Port: 995, Secure(SSL):
Yes, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC18

Ensure that you do NOT have 'Log on using secure password authentication'
enabled?

Tools>accounts>select gmail account>properties>server tab>apply/ok

Go to Tools, Accounts, select that mail account, Properties, Servers.
Uncheck the box for "Log on using Secure Password Authentication."
