setting up outlook email

senior new to internet needs instructions to get and sent email through outlook
i dont understand questions referring to imap and pop3 and the server id for
sending as well as recieving mail
why cant this be simple for newbies like me?
 
Who is providing your email account?
They should have a webpage with email help instructions.
 
Do you have an existing email address? If so, what is the part after
the @ symbol?

Incidentally, the email program that comes with Vista is called Windows
Mail, not Outlook. Please don't confuse the two programs.
