setting up new frontpage web with page files from previous web

Hey folks, I have a rather aggravating problem. I had a hard drive crash
which had FP03 on it, for which I used to build my website. I badly need to
update it, and now that my new computer is up and functional, I loaded FP02
onto this machine so I can at least up date until I can get my hands on a
copy of the latest office suite.

Heres the problem:

I downloaded all the files from my server, and can open them individually in
FP, but the navigation bar linking them to each other tells me 'navigation
bar not allowed in this web' or something close to that. The problem is,
there is no web in the 1st place... whatever file contains that information
was lost on my old failed drive (unless I am mistaken?) How can I link all my
individual pages together to form a working web and navigation?

I have tried to open an new web, and manually place all the old pages into
it, but the nav bar is all messed up (it makes the correct connections, but
the formatting and stuff is messed up.) Is this possibly because 02, which
i'm using now, is not able to view/run/edit the nav bar I gave my site in the
03 version?

To download your web in its entirety, including the data it needs for the
navigation, you should do what's called a "reverse publish":

When I try to open web, it asks me for a user/pw. I type it in and it tells
me the web isnt accessable (which I assume means invalid password.) I am
typing it in correctly, I am sure (I even logged into my ip switch pro and it
worked fine, also logged into my stats, all using the same user/pw)

The password does contain uppercase, lowercase, special characters and
numbers. Does FP02 maybe not recognize some of the characters in my pw?

FrontPage does not use the password - the dialogue is between you and
the server.
Ask your host to run a server health check on the extensions, which may
correct the problem.
