Setting up my computer to access office computer remotely

I'm trying to set up my computer so that I can access my office computer from home - home is running XP Home and office is running XP Office. I'm supposedly the system admin on both

Can anyone give me SIMPLE point by point directlons (as you can probably tell - I'm not computer illiterate but this is DEFINITELY above my immediate capacity.
