Setting up my account

I am currently enrolled in school, and I want to set up my school email to be
routed through outlook. I have set it up exactly how I have with other
accounts in the past, but I have had no success getting this school email set
up. Every time I test the connection it fails. Is there anyway that I'm not
able to because of security that the school has set up? Or, is there a way
that I can get this to work? Please help!

You have consulted your school's IT dept on the correct settings, which
would seem to be different from "exactly how I have with other
accounts in the past"?
