setting up incoming outgoing servers for yahoo

Yahoo! free accounts do not offer POP connectivity and can only be used with

I use POP access to free Yahoo fine. But no such access for hotmail.

Depends upon the Yahoo! domain. I can access 'pop.mail.yahoo.com.au' for a
'yahoo.com.au' account, and I can access 'pop.mail.yahoo.com.jp' for a
'yahoo.co.jp' account. But, since Spring, 2002, I have not been able to
access 'pop.mail.yahoo.com' for a free 'yahoo.com' email account. Yahoo! US
has decided we must pay $20 a year for POP3/SMTP access.
