Setting Up Email

L

Lori

I am running XP Professional. I have a Username and Password from my ISP
that I use to connect to the Internet. I am using Outlook Express for
email. When I setup my email, I used my email from my ISP as default and
put Hotmail account in as an additional email. I listed the ISP email
listing as my profile default email in Internet Properties and Outlook
Express.

I use the hotmail username and password to log onto Internet Explorer. Does
it matter which email I setup as the default in Outlook Express? Should I
enter my hotmail account info in the Internet Properties profile also? If I
change the default to the hotmail account, do I need to enter it into the
profile in Internet Properties as another email address?

I am running Windows Messenger now, but I am going to download MSN
Messenger.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it, Lori. But...
I use the hotmail username and password to log onto Internet Explorer.

Are you an MSN subscriber and/or is MSN your ISP? Does "log onto Internet
Explorer" mean "connect to the internet"? Is MSN8 or MSN9 installed?
I am running Windows Messenger now,
but I am going to download MSN
Messenger.

It's possible to have both (kinda/sorta) but only one can be the default. I
think you'll find WinXP to be much less complicated if you make MSN
Messenger the default and either disable or remove Windows Messenger. More

Make this post in an appropriate newsgroup. This one is for the XP
OS. Bye bye now!
