i am tryin to set up a home network, but if doesn't seem to be working well.
I have a wireless connection and i am able to connect to the internet on both
computers. The host computer is not able to reconize the other one. It's
giving me the following error message : "Mshome is not accessible. You
might not have permission to use this network resource. contact the
administrator of the ser ver to find out if you have access permission" I
have no clue on what they are talking about and who this administrator is
that has to give me permission?? At one point I did have an icon with the
other computer's name on it in the net work computer box of my host computer.
Can some one please help....this is so frustrating

In "My Computer" right click on the C drive of your computer go to the
"Sharing" tab. This should have information on how to enable sharing of
your drives. If you are running Windows XP SP2 you will have to enable File
and Printer Sharing on the Exceptions tab of the firewall.

Eric,
Will sharing the C drive be dangerous? Shouldn't sharing the "Shared Docs"
folder suffice? I thought that was the idea.
