Setting Transparent color for image column of DataGridView

Ashutosh

Hi,
How can I set the Image transparency color for a image column of
DataGridView.

I have some images which I want to display in the grid. These images has
transparency color of Magenta. I have added the images to the project
resource and using it from there.

I looked up any/all properties matching ImageTransparentColor or similar
names...but couldn't find it anywhere....Even DataGridViewImageColumn
doesn't have any such properties.

Does anyone have know how to set this property??? Or any workaround ?

Thanks & Regards,

I think I have found the answer,

Bitmap.MakeTransparent

Is there any way to do this, by not modifying the existing image?

Thanks & Regards,
Ashutosh

Hello Ashutosh ,

Yes, the MakeTransparent() method can do the trick. Another way is to set
the Form.TransparencyKey property to Magenta, then the Magenta portion of
the images on the DataGridViewImageColumn will be transparent.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let me know.
