Setting the user name in Acces for Source Code Control integration

S

sreindl

Hi,

we are using subversion as our source code control system. The solution
(even the integration into a Visual Studio) works fine.

With access we have the problem that whenever we open a database which is
under version control. We get error message "Another user (sreindl) has
placed this database under source code control and is the only person who
should work with it. Source code control features will be disabled."

Acutally sreindl is the user I'm using to connect to the subversion server.
In addition I've now set the Windows user name to sreindl as well but the
result is the same.

Using Visual Studio you have the chance to change the user name to a
different name. Is there any functionality in access to do the same?

Any help would be appreciated.

P.S. There's no way to replace subversion with another VCS as we are doing
development on several OS-Platforms and want to store our versioned data in
one central repository.

Thanks and regards
Stephen

What SCC plugin do you use?

Depends on the plugin.

How does "several OS-Platforms" and "Microsoft Access" match?

I've tried PushOK's SVN (www.pushok.com) plugin and Unified SCC
(http://aigenta.com/products/UnifiedScc.aspx)
Depends on the plugin.

How does "several OS-Platforms" and "Microsoft Access" match?
Well, we are developing software for several platforms, Microsoft Access is
only one part of our software portfolio, therefore we do not see a reason
having a separate repository only for the access applications.
