Setting the number of colors in a contour surface chart

In either Excel 2003 or 2007, is there a way to set how often contour
lines are drawn? I can't seem to find the right setting for this

In Excel 2003, you can access the dialog by double clicking on the legend.
On the scale tab, adjust the scale parameters. The smaller the Major Unit,
the closer together are the contour lines. I don't know how Excel 2007 does
this.
