setting the Autoplay CD function

I have:
One CD-ROM rewrite
One DVD Rewrite

I want them to to be auto play active for any type of files.

I went to:

my computer I highlighted each of them one at a time. I went into the
properties.

I went to Auto Play tab

The setting there was for "music files"

I wanted to have it set at "mixed Files"

I changed it, I clicked on OK..

I put a game cd in the cd driver. Nothing came up. no auto play at all. I went
into the properties again.. The setting there was back to "music files"

I have changed that setting fifty times on both drives and it always goes back
to Music files..

Can anyone help me in this?
