Setting property ContentPlaceHolderId for Content control

Why I can set MasterPage file programmatically, but cannot set property
ContentPlaceHolderId for Content control programmatically? There are no
limitation in documentation.
It is not logically, IMHO.

Max,
Logical reason: masterpage inherits control not page.

Good Luck with your asp.net master pages.
