Setting internet browser to Not Cache on XP PC

Hi, I am trying to set my computer so that my son can do on-line work for
school. The web site I am trying to log onto will not let me. When I check
my browser (one of the buttons provided by the site), it runs a cookie test,
which we pass and then a cache test that we do not pass. I get a message
that I need to set my browser to not cache. How do I do that. My system is
Windows XP on a Sony Viao. Please advise. John sends...
 
Hello John,

From IE browser's main menu, select Tools | Internet Options. On the General Tab, look at section ( at middle) title Temporary Internet Files. Select settings. On the next window, look at the top section --- Check for newer versions of stored pages.
Select (click) "Every visit to the page".

On the Advanced TAB, scroll down to the section called Security. Select (tick) "Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed". Press Apply & OK.
