I have Mozilla installed on my XP Pro system, but I want IE to be my default
program for surfing the web. How do I change the default back to IE??

You can set this up in Tools > Internet Options > Programs.

In IE, go to Tools=>Internet Options and click on the "Programs" tab.

You'll see "IE should check to see if it is the default browser", or some
such thing, at the bottom of the window.

Make sure that is CHECKED.

Next time you launch IE (maybe after reboot), it will ask if you want IE to
be your default browser. Select "Yes", and you are good to go.

(Although I heartily recommend Mozilla over IE for most things!)

Zap,

For Windows XP SP1 and above:

You may use the Set Program Access and Defaults feature to set your default
browser. To set Internet Explorer as the default (this repairs the file
association settings as well), try this:

From Control Panel, open Add/Remove Programs applet, and choose Set Program
Access and Defaults button. [ Alternately, click Start, Run and type control
appwiz.cpl,,3 ]

Click the Custom button once. From the list that appears, select Internet
Explorer and then click the OK button.

Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs | Set Program Access and Defaults
(on left side) | Custom | Internet Explorer.
