Setting default Calendar in Month view

When I open my calendar, it defaults to a month view but always shows the
current week and the 4 weeks PRIOR to this week. I need to see the future,
not the past. How do I force it to open the calendar showing the current
week on the top line and only 2 or 3 weeks in the future?

I also would like to correct this issue. Why would anyone need to see the
previous weeks? Please Help! Thanks
