Setting date value in Access Report

Have two fields in access report. Field 1 is a date of birth field, field 2
needs to have the value that is either Date()-(field1+5844) or Date()-187,
which ever is the greater.

Trying to set a registration date where a candidate needs to be 16 years old
minimum (hence the 5844 days), but where registration can be backdated by six
months where a candidate is older (but may not be backdated before their 16th
birthday).

Help please!!
