Setting an initial value for an auto number data type

I'd like to set an initial value for an auto number
field. Is that possible?

A review of the tablesdbdesign 'group reveals a consensus against using an
Autonumber that users need to understand. Why do you want to alter the
starting point of something that best serves only as a unique row
identifier?

(Yes, it is possible ... but what's your business need to do so? You may
have a legitimate need to, but many times there are very functional ways to
