Setting a timeout for a disconnected session?

J

Jéjé

Hi,

Is it possible to set a timeout value to automatically end a disconnected
session in Windows XP?

Its possible to do this in W2K server and W2003 server, but in XP???

The problem is, if 1 of my user disconnect the session instead-of log off,
then the station is locked and only an administrator can unlock it.

thanks.

Jerome.

There some Group Policies that you can configure to disconnect idle sessions. Go to "Start -> Run"
and type gpedit.msc at the command line. Navigate to the "Local Computer Policy -> Computer
Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Terminal Services -> Sessions".
Do this on the RDP host.
