Setting A Date

Hello

I Have a form with a check box (job Completed) when this is set to true I
want the date in another field set to the date it was checked

A little piece of code something like:

Sub [job Completed]_AfterUpdate()
If Me.[job Completed] = True Then
Me.txtDateField = Date
End If
End Sub

Hello

Thanks for the response tried what you said ,access comes back with

Object doesn;t support the property or method, if i put in Now() it works
but puts
a time stamp after the date field
