As an alternative, I was thinking that I might be able create a
outlook bar shortcut pointing to public folder with a customized
folder icon.
Any idea's on how I might customize the proposed folder's icon? I
understand that the icon is generally based on the folder's default
message class. Do you know of anyway around this?
It is not possible to customize folder icons. The only available solution is to upgrade to Outlook 2002 and use its SetIcon method.
