set up online database (Excel?)

This database is for teachers in remote locations to share Math lesson plans.
Many plans will reference another website only; others will have quite a bit
of text to be included with each plan. These plans need to be in a specific
format. Our goal is to start with five teachers, each adding 300-500 plans in
the first year. Having this database will be a huge productivity improvement
and we'll be able to spend more time with the kids! Thanks for your
assistance.
P.S. Only one of us has experience with Access - but we can learn!

It's difficult to be sure, given the limited information available, but so
far this sounds more like a document library than a database to me. If so,
SharePoint might be a better choice than Access. Or perhaps ClassServer
(which is based on SharePoint). But I'm really only guessing in the dark
here. There isn't enough information to make a recommendation.

Brendan,
Thanks for the response. What info would you need to know to determine
whther I can use Excel or Access? This will be a document library" so perhaps
your suggestion of Sharepont is a better one. I have never heard of this
software - is it easy to learn? easy to use? how long has it been around and
are there many experienced people out there who could help us if needed?
Thanks,
Lori
