Can any body help me to properly setup unregistered
win2000 server, which is domain controller, dns and dhcp
server? Internet is accesable to users via proxy server,
installe don different machine? It looks that unnecessary
traffic is going/coming to interent. I have disabled
registration by entering an netry to netlogon registry.
Stil using netstat command I can see that there is still
connection with Microsoft_DC.

Appreciate your kind advice.

Regards.
Naim.

What proxy are you using?
All clients must use the DC for DNS this includes the DC itself. Only the
DNS on the DC can resolve your AD domain that is the one you must use.
You can set a forwarder to the Proxy's DNS if it is on another machine, if
the proxy is installed on the DC you will have to disable DNS in the proxy.
