Set the "From" e-mail in my frontpage form

Anonymous Chief

Hi,

How do I set a specific "from" e-mail in my frontpage form. My host does not
mask his domain, so my automailer always shows his domain. I don't mind that
if the form sends the e-mail to me.

I would like someone to help me modify my form to have a fixed from e-mail
like (e-mail address removed).

Please Help

If using the FP Form Handler, then this is a setting that your web host would set. You have no
control over this.

Also when using the FP Form Handler, it can only send email to the email address you enter under
Form Properties, and in many cases this email address my be one under your domain.

Can I change the default e-mail that the FP Form Handler uses to send its
e-mails. The domain in that e-mail gives me away. Could anyone give me an
alternative to the FP Form Handler to send my forms, that would allow me to
choose my own "from" e-mail?

Hello "Anonymous Chief"
fwiw I was one, once upon a time.

Although the email that is sent to you comes with a "domain address," if you
have set the Reply to: field in the form properly, when you reply to an
email sent from the form, the senders address is in the To field, and your
default email address is in the From field.

Example:
Visitor fills out form.
You receive email from: domain@ server.com
You click Reply.
Your real meal address shows in the From: field
Senders email address shows in the To: field

I had wanted was to be able to set the e-mail input as the "from" e-mail so
that I can just click "reply" in my e-mail client. Is it possible. I want to
avoid having to always have my set e-mail as the "from" e-mail.

If you are using the FP forms hander and getting a user Email address in a form field
- set Form properties Reply-to to use the Email form field name
