SET RECORD SOURE AUTOMATICALLY

I would like to be able to set the record source for
reports and forms using some type of macro/code. Each
Database I am building has three tables (##SM, ##asm and
##KH)is there anyway to have access ignore the two
preceeding numbers and only look at the last 2-3
characters?

No. You cannot use wildcards in the table names of a query.
