I wanted to install a clean version of XP Pro on a larger partition,
so I entered setup and deleted the primary partition which was
6.8 gigs, and I deleted the logicals in the extended which took up
the rest of the 80 Gig HDD.
Now, XP setup shows two unallocated spaces, one 6800 and the
other 65000+, but XP setup will not let me create a larger C, such as
8 Gigs...the maximum limit shows as 6800 for that first unallocated
space where C existed.
It seems like I need a way to delete the unallocated spaces, or else
combine the two into one for the entire drive so I can start over, but
how is that done? How does one work around that old limit? Is
Bootit normally recommended for this purpose? Thanks for any ideas.
