Set margin in text box inhibits scrollbar. Any fix?

Hi group,

Setting a margin in a text box (A2K2 running on WinXP) prevents the
scrollbar from displaying even if set to 'Vertical'.

Anyone know if this is fixable, or must I live wish my users thinking I
can't design forms properly...?

TIA

Andrew

Andrew, don't know of a fix, but one thing you could do is set the border
and fill to transparent of your text box. Now draw a box with borders and a
fill color and size it so that it's larger then your text box. Place it
over the text box, select Format/Send to Back. You now have scrollbar and
appearance of a margin.

Sorry, this is a known Bug.
Reggie's solution is the only workaround that I know of.

Thanks guys - sorry it took me a day or two to acknowledge.

I'd already guessed at the cosmetic fix, but as I've just discovered this,
and it's going to affect loads of text boxes in my applications, I'm just
going to run some code over each app looking for text boxes and setting
their margins back to zero.

Anyone heard if MS are going to fix it? It's such a nice feature, it's a
shame it doesn't work!

Thanks again

Andrew
