Hi out there.
I want to set a print or a filetransfer in motion, well aware that the
target pc (my wife's) is not yet powered up and awake.
I'm aware my own pc will carry the print buffer, so no need for an external
printbuffer.
The file transfer should be fairly easy.

How and what to do with this little task ?

Denmark

On the properties of the network printer, set the "Use printer offline"
setting. No way to delay file transfers that I know of, though.

When one computer with a printer, is switched off power, this printer offers
no offline service. And of course no printing and no que.
It seems

This setting is on the computer that's still on and trying to reach the
network printer. Set it to work offline and all jobs will be spooled until
you tell it to work online.

I'm not sure how else to describe it to make it clearer. When you're at the
PC that you are using, right-click the network printer on that PC and set it
to operate in offline mode. When the computer with the network printer is
turned on, on your PC right-click the printer again and turn off the offline
mode.
