set grouping levels at runtime??

I have report data that needs to be grouped according to user input. Want the
options to show performance data by week, but give the user the options to
group by the shift, the department, the operator, or the machine name
depending on what they select. I would think I'd need checkboxes on the
report criteria form??

Right now the user can filter data for specific shifts, department,
operator, and machine.

When I figure this one out, I'll apply it to show by month or daily as well.
Please help?!!
