Set Autonumber to a specific number

How can I set an autonumber to start at 500, rather than with 1?

What the MVPs don't tell you is that you can create such a column
directly e.g.

CurrentProject.Connection.Execute _
"CREATE TABLE MyTable (" & _
" ID INTEGER IDENTITY(500,1) PRIMARY KEY," & _
" data_col VARCHAR(255));"
