Just put Vista on, (well yesterday anyway) and went to play a new game or
so.
NONE of them work.
All white cross on red background saying ...nothing blah blah blah Use set
associations panel blah blah blah....
What is this ?
Why arent the games working ?
WHAT associations ???

Did you use a registry tweak or 3rd party tweaker to remove the shortcut
arrow overlays on dektop icons? If the 'IsShortcut' key in the registry is
deleted, it also affects other shortcuts such as those in Games Explorer and
favorite Links, which is why you get the 'association' error message.

Ah - yes, I did.
I'd be happy to take that back, but detest those damn little arrows or the
"shortcut to.."

You could always use the new Games start menu thing if you really hate
shortcut arrows *that* much...
