Running XP Pro with SP2 installed from a CD with no problems.

Is it save to delete folder

C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles ?

It's about 500 MB of files.

TIA Graham

Not really, it is the reference point for all XP install/changes such as
Add/Remove Windows components. You can move the folder to an
alternate partition or drive and change the pointer in the Registry to
reflect the different path. Basically is supersedes the original i386
installer content from your CD-ROM or local drive copy.
